Pembrokeshire Fish Week

Once again we had a brilliant Fish Week, especially at Newgale - Broad Haven was a bit of a "wash out".

We had both locals and holiday makers (some coming down for Fish Week) and a good time was had by all. the people who attended had great fun given the opportunity to explore the beaches and parts of the coastal path followed by an excellent mackerel BBQ watching the waves lapping onto the shore and the sunset.

walkalongway.com is now one of the most talked about outdoor activity providers in West Wales. As we continue to grow we have got new and exciting activities up and running, including some activities that interact with other companies to make up excellent walking related apackages.

For example, check out, the activities we run in conjunction with Ivy Bridge Spa, Near Fishguard.

Some other joint activities coming soon will include:-

Keep your eyes open for baby seals, it's that time of year again.

As anyone who ventures out onto the Pembrokeshire coast line during the autumn knows, there is something special to see. Unlike most animals the grey seal produces it's young at this time of year and they can be found in many of the inlets and isolated bays. The Welsh Coast boasts around a fifth of the world's population of the Grey Seal, a noisy and gregarious marine mammal.

With the summer in full swing, there are a lot of people out and about and with this brings problems.
Over the last weekend a lady has been stampeded by cattle because of having a dog and the cattle responded to the dog and she did not let it go. Also two people died falling from a waterfall and one on Snowdonia.
